Emily McGee, RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CCRN, CEN, CFRN, ONC, NREMT-P is currently employed as a flight nurse in Grand Rapids, Michigan and will also soon be working as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency room of a local community hospital. Over the past 5 years she has served her country as a critical care nurse in the U.S. Army Reserves and previously served on active duty as a flight medic.
She earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Elizabethtown Community College in 2002. She went on to complete both her BSN and MSN at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2004, she graduated as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a minor in Health Informatics.
Emily is active in the blogging community authoring crzegrl.net for the past four years. Crzegrl.net is a collection of insights, stories, photos and video of both her personal and professional life. It began during her time as a graduate student and eventually evolved to include her current flight nurse and NP roles. She has been a guest speaker nationally for the National Orthopaedic Nurses Association, as well as been published in her field.
Emily earned the nickname ‘CrazyGirl’ due to her free spirit and apparent lack of fear. She is a certified SCUBA diver, licensed Skydiver and participates in a number of other hair-raising hobbies. She also scrapbooks.
